Bio
Jeff Bridges currently serves as the Campaigns Director at Faith in Public Life. This past May, Bridges earned his master’s degree from Harvard University’s School of Divinity, where he focused on the intersection of faith and politics. Before attending graduate school, Bridges spent more than ten years working for progressive causes, both on Democratic campaigns in Colorado and in the Deep South, as well as behind the scenes in Washington, DC. As the Communications Director and spokesman for John Salazar’s race for Congress, Bridges contributed to winning one of only two Republican-held seats taken by Democrats in 2004. In Washington, Bridges served as a Legislative Assistant for US Senator Ken Salazar where he handled military and small business issues, overseeing more than a billion dollars in earmarks and earning bipartisan support for a weapons system that dramatically improved the safety and effectiveness of Humvee gunners. Bridges has previously served on the boards of the Colorado Conservation Voters and New Era Colorado, and co-founded Denver for Darfur, raising funds to send $100,000 of donated medical supplies to South Sudan. He currently sits on the Alumni Councils of Kenyon College and the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program. In his personal time, Bridges enjoys great food and cultural experiences, and has visited more than 20 countries on six continents.
